DZIF Prizes for Translational Infection Research

The DZIF Academy is pleased to open the call for application for two prizes in 2019

• DZIF Prize for Fundamental Translational Infection Research
• DZIF Prize for Clinical Translational Infection Research

 

DZIF will award the prizes of EUR 5.000,- each for exceptional translational infection research. Candidates who significantly contributed to this area in Germany can either be nominated by a DZIF partner site or a mentor or apply directly to the DZIF Academy.

 

The call for application is open to all researchers with outstanding achievements in translational infection research and is not restricted to applicants from DZIF partner sites.

 

The prize will be awarded during the joint DZIF/DGI Annual Meeting in Bad Nauheim, 21-23 November 2019 where the recipients will be honored and have a chance to present his or her research.

 

The following materials are required for application:

• One-page description of candidate’s research focus and key achievements in translational infection research
• Candidate’s CV including publications, patents, prizes and honors
• Five key publications
• Complete list of publications and papers
• Two letters of recommendation

Travel Grants

On behalf of Meta-Alexander-Foundation the German Society of Infectious Diseases (DGI) is awarding 6 travel grants in the amount of EUR 500,- each for the participation in the Joint Annual Meeting of the DGI and DZIF.

 

Applications can be made by students and physicians undergoing further training with a scientific paper in the field of clinical infectiology or research in infectious diseases, which must be submitted for the Joint Annual Meeting. Your abstract will be evaluated by a jury appointed by the DGI Executive Board.

 

Please send your application documents, consisting of a letter of application, curriculum vitae and abstract as single PDF-file to vorstand@dgi-net.de by 30 September 2019.

 

 

Poster Awards

The three best posters will be awarded with EUR 500,- each by the German Society of Infectious Diseases (DGI). The prizes will be awarded on Saturday 23 November 2019, 11.00.

 

 

DZIF-Graduate Student Award of DGI 2019

The German Society of Infectious Diseases e.V. (DGI) together with the German Center for Infection Research e.V. (DZIF) will be awarding 3 prizes for PhD students. The awards are endowed with EUR 500,- each and will be awarded once a year.

Award for Clinical Infection Research 2019 of Meta-Alexander-Foundation

On behalf of the Meta-Alexander-Foundation, the German Society of Infectious Diseases e.V. (DGI) has announced the Advancement Prize for Clinical Infection Research for the year 2019. The award is endowed with EUR 5.000,- and will be awarded once a year.

 

Applications will be accepted by individuals from the German-speaking region who are not more than 40 years old (parental leave periods will be taken into consideration) and can prove that they have clinical experience in infectious diseases.
